Vingegaard experimenteert met tijdritfiets in jacht op eindzege Algarve

Jonas Vingegaard staat voor een cruciale slotdag in de Volta ao Algarve 2025. De Deense kopman van Team Visma | Lease a Bike begint de afsluitende individuele tijdrit met een achterstand van 20 seconden op klassementsleider Jan Christen. Om die kloof te dichten, lijkt Vingegaard bereid om te experimenteren met zijn tijdritfiets.

"Het is duidelijk dat morgen een belangrijke dag is voor het klassement," vertelde Vingegaard aan Feltet.dk. "De afgelopen dagen heb ik me wat meer op de tijdritfiets gefocust. Hopelijk betaalt dat zich uit en heb ik morgen goede benen."

Om de optimale aerodynamische positie te vinden, heeft zijn team kleine aanpassingen gedaan aan zijn fiets. "We hebben wat veranderingen doorgevoerd aan het stuur," legt hij uit. "Het zijn geen gigantische wijzigingen, maar je moet er wel aan wennen. We zullen zien hoe het uitpakt."
